Scottish Curling have named Jim MacDonald as part of their 20-man squad to represent Scotland on the 2027 US Tour.
The three-week tour, taking place across January and February 2027, continues the historic curling rivalry between Scotland and the USA. First contested in 1952, the Herries Maxwell Trophy represents decades of friendship, hospitality and shared passion for the Roaring Game across the Atlantic.

At the club's AGM for the season 2024/25, Jonny Flowers was awarded the President's Shield, which was presented by Club President David Armstrong.
This year, Jonny received the Shield for assisting David after his accident at the end of the Lennox Cup match against Helensburgh at Greenacres. Jonny not only remained with David while he was receiving treatment at the rink, but also took him to A&E and stayed until he was released from hospital and took home.

On Monday 12 February 2024, Dumbarton travelled to Greenacres to contest the District Medal against Brookfield Curling Club, which was the first meeting of the two clubs.
The Dumbarton rink consisting of Jim MacDonald (skip), David Armstrong (third), David Shanks (second) and Gus Wallace (lead) were looking to win their 3rd consecutive District Medal match following on from their victories against Millport in 2022 and Helensburgh in 2023.

Helensburgh held off a late Dumbarton surge to win the Kirkwood Cup at Greenacres curling club on Saturday 10 February 2024.
Dumbarton went into the competition as joint defending champions, following their temporary amalgamation with Cardross to win last seasons competition.
