Welcome to Our Site

"Since we have enjoyed good fellowship on the ice, and are resolved that we will meet and form ourselves in a band of brotherhood and fellowship, and that we will be called Dumbarton Curling Club." - These are the opening words in the minutes of the first meeting held in 1815.

Membership is open to both male and female players of all ages and abilities.

You don't require any expensive equipment, just a pair of training shoes and a jumper, as all other equipment will be provided.

Coaching from our own qualified coach will always be available to our members, particularly for those who are new to curling, and our more experienced players are always willing to provide advice and assistance.

Dumbarton Awarded Scottish Curling's Silver Level Accreditation

FoundationAward Oct25Dumbarton Curling Club are proud to announce that Dumbarton has now achieved Scottish Curling's Silver Level of accreditation.

We have now superceded the Bronze Level of accreditation we achieved during the trial scheme last season.

 The Gold level is achievable, which the committee and members of the club are hoping to achieve within the next 12 months.

 

The 5 levels of accreditation are:

  • Foundation
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum

The new accreditation scheme is split into multiple modules, and the clubs are able to choose which modules they want to complete to achieve accreditation.  The more modules you achieve the higher the level of accrediation.
